What is Blossom Sanctuary?

Blossom Sanctuary is a private retreat house in Etna, California, in Scott Valley in Siskiyou County. You book the whole house, so nobody else stays there during your visit. It sits between a hotel and a vacation rental: the privacy of a home, with a concierge you can reach any time. It is independently owned and operated, and the house in Etna is the first Blossom location.

Who is it for?

Couples, families, small groups of friends, writers, artists and anyone who wants quiet time close to nature. The house sleeps up to six guests.

The house

  • Blackout curtains in every bedroom.
  • Kitchen: fully equipped, with coffee, tea and welcome snacks included.
  • Warmth and comfort: a wood stove, air conditioning and fans.
  • Work: fast Wi-Fi. Past guests have run video calls and online school from the house.
  • Grounds: about 4.2 acres of walled and terraced gardens, an oak grove with string lights, a hammock, lounge chairs and an outdoor dining table.
  • Wildlife: deer graze on the lawn most evenings.
