Etna Veterans Day Parade: Saturday, November 7, 2026

The Etna Veterans Day Parade comes down Main Street in downtown Etna on Saturday, November 7, 2026. It is the town's yearly thank-you to the men and women who served, and one of the small-town traditions that brings the whole valley out to the sidewalk.

When is the Etna Veterans Day Parade?

Saturday, November 7, 2026, the Saturday before Veterans Day (Wednesday, November 11). The start time for this year hasn't been posted yet on the Discover Siskiyou listing. In past years the parade has started at 11:00 AM, rain or shine, so plan on a late-morning start and check the listing the week of.

Where is it, and how do you get there from Blossom?

The parade runs on Main Street in downtown Etna. From Blossom it is a 10 to 15 minute walk to Main Street, so leave the car at the house and skip the hunt for parking. If anyone with you walks slowly, leave a little early to claim a place along the curb.

What should you know before you go?

  • Cost: watching a parade on Main Street costs nothing.

  • What to bring: a warm jacket, a hat and a folding chair if you'd like to sit. Early November mornings in Scott Valley are cold, and the sun is low.

  • Kids: parades are made for kids. Bring a small flag to wave, and keep little ones back from the curb as vehicles pass.

  • Honor the moment: stand and remove your hat as the colors pass, and thank the veterans you see along the route.

  • Rain plan: in past years the parade has gone on rain or shine, so pack a rain shell and come anyway.

  • Want to take part? If you'd like to march or enter a vehicle, ask through the listing well ahead of the day.

After the parade

Main Street is a good place to linger afterward. Find this weekend's other events on our full events calendar.

Blossom Sanctuary is a private retreat house in Etna for one to four guests, children and infants welcome, a short walk from the parade route. Check in at 3 PM Friday and you're set for Saturday morning. See open dates and prices.
