A letter to our members, and why The Sovereign Circle exists
There is a notebook on the table at Blossom Sanctuary, and this afternoon I wrote a letter in it to the people who keep coming back. I wanted it in my own hand first. Here it is, word for word, followed by the plain details of what membership means.
The letter
Dear members...
Thank you kindly for being an early adopter of quality living. There is something magically captivating about stepping into a sanctuary space in this valley. You can feel it while you're here, the internal knowing of nature's voice.
I feel blessed to have the opportunity to steward this sacred land, and I created The Sovereign Circle for those who know they have a home in Scott Valley. Your home sanctuary is waiting for you here. When you become a monthly or annual member, you lock in the best possible rates, deals and insight that we offer. Everyone is invited to become a member of Blossom Sanctuary.
Members also receive exclusive access to video calls with the concierge and property tours for free, subject to availability.

Why we built it
We are happy to host guests who find us from anywhere, however they get here. But we feel it every time a guest pays more than they needed to. When you book through one of the big travel sites, a share of what you pay goes to the platform, and some add a service fee of their own on top. None of that warms the house or pays the people who care for it.
The Sovereign Circle is our answer. It is built for loyal guests, so the people who come back most pay the least we can charge and still keep improving the house. Members hold the best rate we offer anywhere.
Where the money goes
Every dollar Blossom earns goes back into Blossom. Profits are reinvested in the house, the gardens and the experience, one upgrade at a time. We want to pay everyone who works here a living wage. And we have a long view: a house that does real good for Etna and Scott Valley, for the people who live here as much as the people who visit.
What we want your stay to feel like
Simple, and quietly luxurious. A bed you sink into, a wood stove on a cold night, coffee in the garden while the deer work the lawn. We want you to feel better within an hour of arriving and a little sad to leave.
We also want you to see the best of Scott Valley, comfortably and close to nature: the cold creek pools up the mountain, the drives over the summits, a slow morning on Etna's Main Street. Our drives and bike loops guide and three days in Scott Valley are good places to start.
What membership is
Two ways to join: monthly or yearly. Your membership becomes stay credit you can use right away.
The member rate: the best rate we offer anywhere, locked for as long as you stay a member.
The members calendar: your price on every night and the dates that are open, inside your account.
Video calls and tours, booked ahead: free video calls with the concierge, and property tours, on weekday afternoons from 1 to 4 pm Pacific. Text or email the concierge to book a time.
For founding members who join for the year: the lounge set from our clothing line (hoodie, tee and lounge pants) is on us.

When membership makes sense
Membership is worth it if any of these sound like you:
You already know you will come back, for a season, a birthday, or just the quiet.
You want longer stays: a week to write, a month to work remotely with fast internet and a garden outside the window.
You live within a few hours' drive and want a place to retreat to more than once a year.
You are planning to bring family or friends back with you.
If this is a one-time trip, that is wonderful too. Book on our website, and join the Orbit first for a welcome gift on your first stay. You can always join the Circle later.

Founding spots close December 31, 2026.
Members can cancel a stay for free up to 14 days before arrival.
Member video calls and property tours run Monday to Friday, 1 to 4 pm Pacific, by appointment.
