The Siskiyou Golden Jackpot comes to the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds in Yreka from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, 2026. It is a youth livestock show: young exhibitors bring animals such as heifers and steers into the ring to compete and to gain show experience between fair seasons.

What is the Siskiyou Golden Jackpot?
A jackpot show is a competitive livestock show where exhibitors pay entry fees that help fund the prize pool. Last year's listing from the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce described the Golden Jackpot as open to youth ages 4 to 21, showing heifers and steers. It is a chance to see the kids who raise animals for the county fair working with them in the off season.
When is the Siskiyou Golden Jackpot?
Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, 2026, per the Discover Siskiyou listing. Daily times aren't posted. Last year's show started late Friday morning and wrapped up around midday Sunday, so plan for daytime classes and check the schedule before you drive. Note that the clocks fall back an hour early Sunday morning.
Where is it and how do you get there from Etna?
The Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds are at 1712 Fairlane Road in Yreka, home of the Siskiyou Golden Fair. From Blossom it is about 35 minutes: north on Highway 3 through Fort Jones, then over Forest Mountain into Yreka. Show days run in daylight, so you can be home well before dark, and it's worth a look at Caltrans QuickMap before you go.
What should you know before you go?
Spectators: the listings don't say whether there is a spectator fee or a public schedule. Call the fairgrounds at 530-842-2767 before you go.
Entries: last year's registration closed ahead of the show. If you have an exhibitor in the family, contact the fairgrounds directly.
Barn manners: ask before touching any animal, keep children close in the barns, and give exhibitors room in the wash racks and alleys.
What to wear: closed-toe boots or shoes, and warm layers for chilly barns.
