Teanna and Tearra of Citrine Lounge Spa: the Etna sisters who make Scott Valley feel like home

Some people make a place feel like home before you have even unpacked. In Scott Valley, for me, that person is Teanna, who runs Citrine Lounge Spa in Etna.

I have lived in this valley long enough now to know who shows up. Teanna always has. She brings the best energy into every room, with a kindness and creativity that never seem to run out, and she has been one of the people quietly building a community here that feels like home. This is a thank you, and an introduction for anyone planning a stay with us.

The person who made the valley feel like home

Small towns are built by people who keep showing up for each other. Teanna has always been one of them: warm when you walk in, generous with her time, and ready with an idea or a word of support.

She has always been there for what we are building at Blossom Sanctuary, and she does the same for everyone around her. That is what a community is, in the end: people lifting each other up, one conversation at a time.

A healer who inspires healers

Teanna is a professional wellness practitioner, and it shows in how she works. Her services are curated around each person's skin and hair, so you leave with exactly what you need to restore and thrive. She has inspired me as someone who heals.

I recommend her to my friends, and I recommend her to every guest who asks where to start in Etna. Her Signature Facial is the centerpiece of our Etna spa day, right after the sauna and a massage, when your skin is ready for it.

Everything I want for my skin and bath ritual

I love every product Teanna has ever recommended to me: hair care, face masks, bath soaks, even herbal cigarettes. She has everything I want for my skincare and bath ritual, and she knows what is right for you.

Ask her what she would recommend for your own ritual while you are in Etna, and take a little of the valley home with you.

The apothecary at Citrine Lounge Spa

This is the part I am most excited about. Teanna is growing an apothecary at Citrine Lounge Spa, and it is still in its early stages. She is doing careful research and community outreach to source locally harvested and dried plants and medicinal herbs, the freshest she can find.

It starts the way the best things do: with good intentions, with planting seeds, and with conscious stewardship of the land and the plants it gives us. Teanna and Blossom are working on a spa ritual together, built around those local herbs, and I am thrilled to explore more of this world with her as the apothecary expands.

Tearra, and the sister bond behind Citrine

Citrine Lounge Spa is a two-sister story. Tearra, Teanna's sister, is a big part of what makes the place so special. She brings the same warmth and care to every spa manicure and pedicure, and you can feel how much the two of them love what they are building together.

Ask Tearra about the herbal foot soaks in Egyptian copper basins, or the ionic foot baths, before your nails. It is one of the slowest, most relaxing hours you can spend in Etna. Book a facial with Teanna and nails with Tearra back to back, and let the sisters take care of you for the afternoon.

The music Teanna shared with me

Teanna is also the one who introduced me to Prema Mayi. Prema is a talented singer who plays many instruments, and her music is healing. I play it for yoga, breath work and slow evenings by the stove, and it is just as good for dancing and celebrating with friends. Start with Hari Om.
