How to Vote in Siskiyou County: Your Plan for Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Whether this is your first time or your fiftieth, this is everything you need to make a plan to vote in Siskiyou County, straight from the Siskiyou County Clerk-Registrar of Voters and the California Secretary of State.

I have never voted. Is it too late?

No. The regular registration deadline was October 19, but California also offers Conditional Voter Registration, sometimes called same day registration. From October 20 through Election Day, eligible residents can register in person and vote a ballot at the same time. Your ballot is counted once the county finishes verifying your registration. Read how it works on the Secretary of State's same day registration page, and call the county office to confirm where you can do it.

Three ways to vote

  • By mail. Every active registered voter in Siskiyou County was mailed a ballot starting the week of October 5. Fill it out, put it in the return envelope, sign the envelope, and mail it. No stamp needed. It must be postmarked on or before November 3.

  • Drop it off. The county's secure drop box at 311 Fourth Street in Yreka is open 24 hours a day. You can also hand in your signed ballot at the County Clerk's Office during office hours, or at any polling place on Election Day.

  • In person. Polling places across the county are open Tuesday, November 3, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. In Etna, it is Scott Valley Berean Church, 134 Church Street. Find yours on the county's election page under List of Polling Locations. If you got a mail ballot, bring it with you and hand it in at the polls: it speeds up check-in.

What is on my ballot?

The county posts the candidates, offices and local measures on its November 3, 2026 General Election page. The Official Voter Information Guide from the Secretary of State explains every statewide proposition, with arguments for and against.
