When is the 2027 Siskiyou Golden Fair?
Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 27, 2027, per the Discover Siskiyou listing and the fair's own announcement. Daily hours, the grandstand schedule and this year's theme are on the fair's website.
Where is it and how do you get there from Etna?
The fairgrounds are at 1712 Fairlane Road in Yreka. From Blossom it is about 35 minutes: Highway 3 north through Fort Jones, over Forest Mountain and into town.
Late June brings the longest days of the year, and sunset is close to 9 PM, so a daytime visit gets you home in full light. Grandstand events often run late, though. If you stay for one, the drive home will be after dark: go with someone, stay on Highway 3, take it slow for deer, and check Caltrans QuickMap for summer roadwork before you go.
What should you know before you go?
What to expect: last year's fair featured motocross, a rodeo and a destruction derby in its grandstand lineup. Watch the fair's site for the 2027 events.
Tickets: daily admission and grandstand tickets are sold through the fair. Prices for 2027 will be posted closer to the dates.
The theme: the fair asked the public for 2027 theme ideas, so look for the winning slogan around the grounds.
Livestock barns: the barns are where young exhibitors show the animals they've raised all year. Visit early in the day, before the heat builds.
Beat the heat: Yreka in late June can be hot by afternoon. Bring sunscreen, a hat and water, and save the outdoor wandering for the evening.
Kids: a county fair is made for children. Agree on a meeting spot in case anyone wanders off.
Make it a summer stay

Blossom Sanctuary is a private retreat house in Etna for up to four adults or a family of up to six, children and infants welcome, about 35 minutes from the fairgrounds. Long June evenings on the lawn are the reward after a day at the fair. See open dates and prices.
