Blossom Artist Pass: creator and artist stays in Etna, CA

This winter, artists and creators can book one night at Blossom and stay one or two more, in exchange for honest content about the house and Scott Valley. Here is how Blossom Artist Pass works.

The best way to understand a place is through the people who make things there. Our journal, Scott Valley Life, tells the stories of the makers, growers and businesses in this valley. Blossom Artist Pass is the other half of that idea: we invite photographers, filmmakers, painters, writers and creators to stay at Blossom and show the valley through their own eyes.

The offer is simple. Book one night, and we host you for one or two more. In return, you share what you find: Reels, photos, Stories and, on the longer stay, a written piece. The program runs for stays through December 31, 2026. Free nights fall Monday to Thursday. Holiday weekends are excluded: no free nights November 25 to 29, December 23 to 27, or December 30 to January 1.

The two packages

  • Two-Night Story: pay for one night, stay two. For each Artist: one Reel on your own grid, one collab Reel and one collab carousel of 3 to 10 photos with Blossom, at least 4 Stories every day of your stay, and a set of photos and short clips for Blossom to use.

  • Three-Night Story: pay for one night, stay three. Roughly twice the content: two grid Reels, two collab carousels, a larger photo and clip set, and one written piece, either a blog post on your own site or a guest story for Scott Valley Life.

Either way, the price for the house is one night at the member rate of $555, plus 14% county lodging tax, which comes to $632.70. Up to three people can share a stay, and each person is an Artist who delivers the full set for the package. The free nights are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights, and your paid night can be any night: arrive Sunday, for example, and Monday and Tuesday are on us.

A winter treasure hunt

Every Artist Pass stay comes with a treasure hunt. A clue card waits on the kitchen counter when you arrive, and it leads you around the house and grounds, past the wood stove, the walled garden and the old oaks, and into Main Street in Etna. The treasures are gifts from Scott Valley businesses, so the hunt is also a way to meet the people who make this valley what it is. Each find is a ready-made Story.

If you run a business in Scott Valley and would like to donate a treasure, we would love to hear from you. Read how we feature local businesses in Share your story.

Common questions
